Maribor Development Agency is a public organization responsible for coordination of regional development activities in the Podravje region. Beside the preparation of regional development plan and annual action programs it has experience in development of regional development strategies, development of tourism products and PR activities. It is also a member of the Enterprise Europe Network.
Maribor Development Agency has comprehensive background knowledge in respect to regional development plans, regional strategy of tourism development, border tourism and agriculture development, international co-operation and development of business clusters and networks. The know-how and experience gained is exchanged through a fruitful co-operation with Chambers of Commerce, Chamber of Crafts, University of Maribor, technology parks / centers and other economic subjects. 
The agency was involved in several projects connecting the topics of culture, sacral monuments, tourism and entrepreneurship, public private cooperation between culture, art&craft and industry, organisation of training events, development of tourism related products, screen tourism, ICT solutions in the area of promoting culture & tourism products and programs for employment of young entrepreneurs.
